WWD is to focus international attention on the impact of rapid urban population growth, industrialization and uncertainties caused by climate change, conflicts and natural disasters on urban water systems.
Earth Hour at the same time is asking every households at least every last Saturday of March to turn off their non essential lights and other electrical appliances for an hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.
