The Journey: trekking

Mt.Pulag the roof of Luzon, the third highest mountain in the Philippines borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao and Nuevo Viscaya meet at the mountain peak, elevation at 2922 masl or 9,587 feet. It is thought to be the home of the gods or of the spirits of their dead ancestors. No wonder, such location befit for a god for we witness it first hand!

The climb was long and difficult, but its well worth the sacrifices for up on mountain top, is a privilege few people can have.

I don't know what draws us closer to the mountain;

the simple joys, of having to watch the sky

hoping for the best but expecting the worst, and that is

made it even more satisfying, is the sense of fulfillment
when completed , its beyond emotions, its a bliss!

everything is pulling together now,
the challenge is real, the climb is difficult, the loads were heavy,
the distance is long
but the anticipation is even greater to be on top of Mt.Pulag
